5:45am:
What in God's name am I doing up? I simply couldn't stay in bed, so I got up, and here I am. (BTW, that's a # 1.5 on the trimmer used on my dome. Worked my way down from a 2. I can't wait to realize the savings on shampoo!)

These were my companions. The only ones awake with me at this time...sort of. Xena's scratching her head wondering, "Why is my master here at this time? Whatever! I'll just keep scratching my head." Bandit, on the other hand, is staring intently on the grout line...with her eyes closed.

Here is a shot of the room that will once again become my headquarters. It's hard to tell, but on that whiteboard covered with papers (right side of the photo), I wrote 6 tasks that I MUST accomplish today. What they are is irrelevant to you, simply realize that they will be checked off before the end of the day.

I receive a visitation that let's me know I am not the only member of my family left. Without warning, a ray of light pours through the closed blinds and a chorus of angels begin singing joyously, as a vision of pure beauty enters. Unfortunately, she didn't want her photo taken...Oh well!

My son decided that today he was going to wake up in a good mood. It's amazing how that mood quickly goes south when he can't play with his sister's "savana." Sooooo...I rescue my son from his well earned "penitencia"...actually, it wasn't so much a rescuing as much as he served his time. I pick him up from the maximum security compound know simply as "La Cuna," and go into Luly's room for some wacky fun time on the bed. Afterwards, he sits content with Luly's "savana" resting securely on his lap.

Well, I need to go to the bank and on the way, I decide to pass by Pop's. I rightfully receive a gentle reprimand from the old man for not having visited him since he had his galbladder removed. Unpleasentries out of the way, we shoot the breeze for a bit, ignorant to the fact that my wife is taking a picture of us. While the picture may not appear candid, let me assure you that we normally sit around staring at a mutually accepted point while we converse. BTW, doesn't Pop have a nice pair? Another BTW. Damn!! 1.5 on the trimmer scale is short!!

So, I get to the bank and make my withdrawal. Apparantly, banks do not observe Good Friday as a holiday. This turns out to be good for me being as how there are some bills that MUST be paid today.

So, I get to my car and for just a little bit (2.37 seconds to be exact), I pretend this is the type of cash I normally carry around with me.

Let me tell you a wonderful thing about the Internet. There is nothing like being able to log into various accounts, begin clicking on little "confirm" buttons to bring us racing back to reality.

"Money? What money?"

So I get to my office and prepare to say 'Hi' to all my employees. Lo and behold the shock I receive to open the door and find an office but no people. My heart momentarily stops as I begin to rush over to the phone and call 911. Then realization strikes. Today's Good Friday, and on top of the, I HAVE no employees. Whew! That was a freaky moment!

On my way back home, I decide to shoot the breeze with a fellow motorist in the lane next to me. It was a very brief conversation, although I did manage to get her number. I don't think I'm going to call her though. If I'm being honest, she kinda acted like a bitch. Oh well.

After staring at my computer screen for many hours, I decide my eyes need a little break. Time for some Brother in Arms action! Ok, so the eye rest thing is a lie. Nothing like pumping evil axis people full of lead to help the brain relax. I must freak people out when I play with the volume up and the windows open, especially since the game pretty much consists of non-stop explosions, flying bullets, men dying, and cursing. Hey, it's war!!

My daughter scares the living daylights out of my wife. Christi is on the phone with Anna V when Luly screams...loudly! She goes running to her room to find her sprawled face down on the floor. After a few adrenaline-pumped, breath-held seconds, Christi realizes that it is not serious. Luly simply slipped off the bed while trying to get down WHILE holding on to her stuffed cow, "savana," a few small plastic figures, a bracelet, Ginsu knife set, etc., etc., etc. Christi brings her to the back room, and sits with me on our couch. After a little bit of comforting, my daughter prooves she is my offspring by commencing to watch what is arguably the best show of all time.

Christi is off to St. Timothy for the services while I stay at home with the kids. Victor decides to wake up from his "siesta" and joins us in watching the Muppet Show. Luly gives us her best stoned look. I'm not sure if you can tell, but I am trying my best to hide my joy in this picture. Is it obvious?

We decide to enjoy the uncommonly cool weather and take a stroll around the neighborhood. I had to move ahead a bit to take the picture, but I'm that blank spot walking between Christi and Luly.

As we stroll around the block, we take a pit stop at Abu & Ala's for an hour or so before calling it quits for the night.

So, there you have it! My first blog. I hope you enjoyed it. Furthermore, I hope you realize that it really doesn't bother me that I apparently can't count to 14. Oh, and for the record, 2 of the 6 MUST do items were crossed off...YES!!!!
